Born in Ankara, Prof. Dr. Atay Atabey graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1983. He completed his specialty training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Dokuz Eylül University in 1990, and in 2004 he founded his private practice, ESTETIA Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery, in Izmir.
Following his specialty training, completed between 1985 and 1990, he conducted postdoctoral work at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the United States in 1994–1995 and 1998–2000. There he carried out research on composite flap prefabrication, craniomaxillofacial surgery, and tissue transfers, and during this time he also studied endoscopic three-dimensional facelift techniques and facial aesthetic surgery.
After serving as Chair of the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine, he retired in 2011 and continued to practice at his private office, Estetia. He has authored more than 50 scientific publications and has taken part in numerous national and international congresses. Since 2023, Dr. Atabey has continued his academic work as a part-time faculty member in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Izmir Tınaztepe University.

A graduate of Cumhuriyet Nevvar Salih İşgören Vocational High School, Beauty Department (2004–2009), and of Ege University Ege Vocational School, Skin Care and Beauty Specialist program (2009–2011), Özge Doğmuş Tunçer began her career at Demiderm Polyclinic (2005–2007) and continued at Bornova Medical Center (2007–2015). A graduate of Izmir Bayındır Health Vocational High School, Nursing Department (2007–2011), Büşra Seymen studied International Relations at Anadolu University and earned a master's degree in Health Management at Izmir Kâtip Çelebi University (2020–2022). She began her career at Private Tınaztepe Hospital (2011–2017) and has served as an operating room nurse on the Estetia Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery team since 2018.
